With effect from 29 November 2021, the Burkhalter Group is acquiring Elektrohüs AG in Susten in the canton of Valais. The company employs 25 people at three locations and generates annual sales of around CHF 3 million.

Elektrohüs AG has enjoyed success in the local market since 1947 and primarily offers traditional electrical engineering services. The Ambord family, which owns the business, is now selling it to Burkhalter Holding Ltd. Elektrohüs AG is being merged with the Brig-based company TZ Stromag, which is already part of the Burkhalter Group, and will operate as a branch of this organisation with effect from 1 January 2022. All employees will be kept on and the premises in Susten, Steg and Wiler will be retained. Fernando Ambord will continue to run the facilities in Susten, while Thomas Krummenacher will carry on managing the Steg and Wiler sites. With this acquisition, the Burkhalter Group is solidifying its presence in the canton of Valais. «The purchase agreement signed today will be executed by 3 January 2022 at the latest», says Gaudenz F. Domenig, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Burkhalter Group.

It remains part of the Burkhalter Group's strategy to gain additional market share by selectively acquiring other electrical engineering companies.
