Emmi publishes seventh sustainability report with positive overall development On the occasion of the United Nations’ World Environment Day, Emmi has published its seventh sustainability report for 2021/2022 in accordance with the GRI Standards. With its claim to be a role model in sustainability anchored in its corporate strategy, Emmi provides a report on its long-standing commitment to sustainability. The Group demonstrates positive development overall. It believes it is on track to achieve its ambitious sustainability targets with a 2027 horizon. These targets are based on the Emmi sustainability model – covering the pillars people, communities and planet – as well as a net-zero reduction path. Emmi has made progress in the development of its employees. In addition, together with partners, it has established a science-based catalogue of criteria for sustainable milk. Emmi likewise recorded a good performance in the decarbonisation of its energy supply and the reduction of waste and food waste.
Emmi made progress in the pillars defined in the Emmi sustainability model: people, communities and planet.
In view of the uncertainties in the area of energy supply, Emmi will step up its focus on energy, decarbonisation and greenhouse gas reduction in 2023. A diversification of the energy supply with renewable energies will be the priority.
