The Domstein Seafood AG will create its own plant, which is a special plant that is being constructed in which animal, organic material, e.g. fish waste, is processed by enzymatically and serves as the basis for the newly developed feed. Fish waste is generated large extent during fish processing and will continue to increase in the future due to the increasing consumption of fish. At the end of the process fish silage could be produced, which is an excellent feed. Enzymatically occurred process increases the protein content and improves digestibility. A by-product of the production process is liquid biogas, which can be reused as a valuable raw material.

Domstein Seafood AG is already in negotiations with corresponding companies for this further use. Biogas can be used as a climate-neutral energy source.
